About this size and process
This is the 5-pound bulk version of Evening Grace, designed for offices, churches, ministries, and households that want decaf in quantity without sacrificing flavor. The coffee is the same Mexican single origin we ship in our 12-ounce bag, decaffeinated with the Mexican EA (ethyl acetate) decaf process. That process removes caffeine from green coffee while helping preserve the bean's smooth sweetness and body. The underlying Mexican coffee gives this bulk decaf a clean cup with milk chocolate, orange, pecan, brown sugar, and fig notes. We air-roast to a medium development that pulls out the milk chocolate, orange, brown sugar, and fig notes. The result is a 5-pound bag of smooth, full-flavored decaf. Ships within 2 to 3 days of roast, with the roast date printed on the bag.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Is this the same coffee as the 12-ounce Evening Grace?Yes. Same Mexican single origin, same Mexican EA (ethyl acetate) decaf process, same medium roast. The only difference is bag size: 5 pounds instead of 12 ounces.
Q: How long will a 5-pound bag stay fresh?Coffee is at or near peak freshness for 4 to 14 days after roast, and stays drinkable for 4 to 6 weeks in airtight storage. For best results, pour off only what you will use in 2 to 3 weeks into a smaller airtight container and keep the rest sealed in the original valve bag.
Q: Is this really decaf?Yes. It is decaffeinated using Mexican EA (ethyl acetate) decaf and still contains a small amount of caffeine.
Q: Can I subscribe and save?Yes. Subscribe and save 10 percent on every order. Select delivery frequency at checkout (every 2, 4, or 6 weeks) and we roast and ship on that schedule. Pause, skip, or cancel anytime with no fees and no friction.
